Launched in Delhi, this next-gen product is designed to stabilize the grid and support the large-scale adoption of renewable energy across the country.
PURE has announced a significant ₹400 crore investment over the next 18 to 36 months. The funding will bolster its battery and power electronics production and enhance in-house firmware capabilities, scaling the company’s total capacity from 250 MWh to 2.5 GWh. This expansion follows the successful infusion of over ₹100 crore into R&D and manufacturing infrastructure, underscoring PURE’s deep commitment to innovation.
Backed by over a decade of expertise and more than 120 intellectual property filings, PURE’s newly launched PuREPower Grid is engineered as a containerized 5 MWh system, equipped with in-built solar integration and advanced Power Conversion Systems (PCS). The product has already attracted Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from over 10 major Renewable Energy EPCs and industrial giants, signaling strong market validation.
As India races towards its 500 GW renewable energy goal, the demand for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is projected to surpass 200 GWh by 2030, with a total market value of over $36 billion. PURE’s grid-scale offering is expected to play a crucial role in meeting this need, providing a cost-effective, intelligent, and scalable solution.
The PuREPower Grid features a multi-tiered thermal management system — including nano-PCM cooling at the cell level, liquid cooling at the pack level, and rack-level cooling — ensuring optimal heat dissipation, improved efficiency, and enhanced battery longevity.
