The strategic collaboration aims to develop sustainable solid waste management solutions through CBG production and RDF-to-energy conversion under PPP and EPC models.
Netel India Limited, a Neterwala Group company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Organic Recycling Systems Limited (ORS) to collaborate on upcoming solid waste management and waste-to-energy projects across India.
The partnership aims to deliver integrated solutions with a focus on Compressed Biogas (CBG) generation and Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF)-to-energy conversion.
The collaboration brings together Netel India, known for its expertise in environmental infrastructure and project financing, and ORS, a pioneer in organic waste processing and biogas technology. ORS will handle the technical execution, while Netel will manage financial and RDF-centric aspects of the projects.
The MoU was recently signed as both companies prepare to participate in a series of public-private partnership (PPP) and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) model projects.
The projects will be implemented across urban centers in India, particularly in regions facing acute solid waste challenges. Existing Netel environmental facilities will also be upgraded using ORS’s biogas technologies.
With India grappling with a mounting urban waste crisis and a push towards renewable energy targets, the collaboration seeks to offer scalable, sustainable, and technologically advanced waste management solutions.
The partnership will jointly bid for and execute PPP and EPC projects that include operations and maintenance. ORS will lead on engineering and CBG production, while Netel will focus on financing and RDF-to-energy components. The alliance also aims to enhance Netel’s operational capabilities by integrating ORS’s proven biogas systems
