Zomato and Blinkit Host EV Bazaar 2025 in Bengaluru to Accelerate Green Deliveries

The second edition of EV Bazaar showcased electric two-wheelers, financing solutions, and charging infrastructure, with over 1,000 delivery partners exploring cleaner, cost-effective mobility options.

Zomato and Blinkit, leading players in food delivery and quick commerce, jointly organized the second edition of EV Bazaar 2025 at the NIMHANS Convention Center, Bengaluru. The event, building on last year’s debut in New Delhi, focused on promoting electric vehicle (EV) adoption among delivery partners to reduce costs, boost earnings, and drive sustainability.

The event was inaugurated by Shri K.J. George, Karnataka’s Minister of Energy, who emphasized the role of EVs in reducing fuel dependency and tackling urban air pollution. He highlighted Karnataka’s leadership in EV adoption, with over 5,700 charging stations already in place. National cricketer and EV enthusiast Pradish Krishna also joined as Guest of Honor.

Over 1,000 delivery partners from Zomato and Blinkit attended the event, where 18+ EV brands, including Hero Motocorp, TVS Motors, Bajaj, BGauss, Bounce Infinity, Ampere, Motovolt Mobility, and Quantum Energy, showcased their products. Financial partners such as Stride Green and infrastructure providers like Kazam and Indofast Energy offered solutions to ease ownership and charging challenges. The event also rewarded top-performing EV delivery partners, with four winners receiving new EV bikes.

According to the EV Survey 2025, conducted with more than 2,300 delivery partners, 71% expressed willingness to switch to EVs, primarily due to lower running costs and environmental benefits. However, concerns over vehicle range (61%) and access to charging or swapping stations (51%) remain significant barriers.

Currently, Zomato and Blinkit have over 51,000 EV-based delivery partners, covering more than 150 million clean kilometers in FY25. Their initiatives, including “Rent an EV” features on both apps and collaborations with 40+ EV partners, are helping delivery workers transition smoothly to sustainable mobility.

Anjalli Ravi Kumar, Chief Sustainability Officer at Eternal (Zomato & Blinkit’s parent company), said the initiative reflects their commitment to enabling greener deliveries while improving financial well-being for gig workers. Sheetanshu Tyagi, CEO of EMO Energy, a gold partner for the event, praised the platform for connecting EV solutions directly with last-mile delivery partners.

With EV adoption gaining momentum, the EV Bazaar stands as a crucial step in shaping India’s sustainable delivery ecosystem, aligning with Zomato’s broader sustainability goals, which include climate-conscious deliveries, waste reduction, and inclusive growth.
