Premier Energies Limited has announced the formation of joint venture (JV) with BA Prerna Renewables Private Limited to strengthen its presence in the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) segment of India’s renewable energy sector.
The JV will operate through HeliosAnthos Energies Private Limited, a newly incorporated entity in which Premier Energies will hold a 51 per cent equity stake, while BA Prerna Renewables will own the remaining 49 per cent. Through this platform, the partners plan to undertake EPC projects spanning solar, wind, standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS), and hybrid solar-wind-battery projects across the country.
HeliosAnthos Energies will offer end-to-end EPC solutions, covering land acquisition, transmission connectivity, statutory and regulatory approvals, detailed engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning of renewable energy projects. The comprehensive scope is aimed at addressing key execution challenges in India’s rapidly expanding clean energy market.
The joint venture aligns with Premier Energies’ broader strategy to deepen its downstream capabilities and complement its integrated manufacturing strengths, thereby enhancing its participation across the renewable energy value chain.
Chiranjeev Saluja, Managing Director and CEO of Premier Energies Limited, said the partnership would significantly enhance the company’s EPC capabilities and expand its renewable energy footprint. He noted that as the market evolves, integrated solutions combining manufacturing expertise with strong execution capabilities are becoming increasingly important. Saluja added that BA Prerna Renewables brings specialised expertise in land acquisition and transmission connectivity, both of which are critical for the successful deployment of solar and energy storage-led infrastructure in India.
With this joint venture, Premier Energies aims to position itself as a more comprehensive solutions provider in India’s renewable energy ecosystem, supporting the country’s transition towards cleaner and more reliable energy systems.
