India’s leading automobile manufacturer Bajaj dived into the EV segment with the launch of its Chetak Electric scooter in January this year.
In March the firm start deliveries and it was limited to just two Indian cities – Pune and Bengaluru.
Within weeks of rolling out of Chetak Electric to customers, the country went into lockdown which jolted Bajaj Auto’s plans.

According to report the home grown manufacturer managed to sell a total of just 91 units of the battery powered Chetak scooter last month.
It is the first all-electric scooter under Bajaj’s Urbanite brand.
