The company will execute a 412 MWp solar power plant for a global utility giant
Waaree Renewable Technologies, a subsidiary of Waaree Group and one of the largest solar manufacturers in India, has announced that it has secured a Rs 547.5 crore order for a 412 MWp solar power project. The order was awarded by one of the global leading biggest utility in the world in renewable energy, whose name was not disclosed.
According to a BSE filing, the company’s unexecuted order book now stands at 1.161 GW, indicating a strong growth momentum in the solar sector. The company has successfully installed over 10,000 solar projects, with a total operating capacity of over 600 MW.
The order includes the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) work for the solar power plant on a turnkey basis, as well as the operations and maintenance (O&M) for a period of two years from the date of hand over. The O&M contract is valued at Rs 6.798 crore.
The projects are scheduled to be completed in December, 2024 as per the terms of the order. The company said that the projects will help in reducing carbon emissions and providing clean energy to over 1.5 lakh homes.
