The new 2 GW/PA plant in Ahmedabad will produce 1,500 blades annually, support 4 GW of wind projects, and create 4,000 jobs by 2027, strengthening India’s clean energy mission.
Envision Energy has laid the foundation stone for its state-of-the-art 2 GW per annum wind blade manufacturing facility at Kalyangadh, Bavla Taluka, Ahmedabad district.
This project marks the company’s third manufacturing unit in India and forms a crucial part of its ₹500 crore expansion plan to boost local production and strengthen its presence in the Indian renewable energy market.
The ground-breaking ceremony was attended by Devusinh Jesingbhai Chauhan, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Kheda, Gujarat, as Chief Guest, along with other dignitaries including Kiritsinh Sardarsang Dabhi, MLA, Dholka Assembly, and senior representatives from DA Group, Ashwika Warehousing LLP, and Envision Energy India, led by Managing Director, Mr. RPV Prasad.
Aligned with the Make-in-India initiative of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), the Gujarat facility will manufacture up to 1,500 blades annually using six moulds for both 3.3 MW and 5 MW wind turbine platforms.
Once operational, it will support more than 4 GW of wind projects across 10+ sites in five districts of Gujarat, significantly contributing to India’s clean energy targets of achieving 50% non-fossil fuel-based power capacity by 2030.
Beyond advancing renewable energy, the facility is set to create a major socio-economic impact by generating around 4,000 direct and indirect jobs by mid-2027, while integrating with local supply chains and supporting ancillary industries in Gujarat.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. RPV Prasad said, “This new facility is not just an investment in infrastructure but in India’s clean energy future. It reflects our commitment to the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat by driving domestic manufacturing, employment creation, and industrial growth in Gujarat.”

The facility, developed by DA Group and constructed by Ashwika Warehousing LLP, reinforces Gujarat’s position as a renewable energy hub and strengthens India’s journey towards a greener, self-reliant future.
