Community EV charging network deploys 18 smart charging points across residential and office facilities to support sustainable mobility.
Electric vehicle charging network Rebolt has partnered with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to establish a dedicated EV charging infrastructure across its campuses in Bengaluru. The company has installed more than 18 charging points across RBI’s residential staff quarters and its main office facility in the city, marking a step toward promoting cleaner mobility within institutional ecosystems
The initiative aims to encourage the adoption of electric vehicles among RBI employees by offering convenient charging access at both residential and workplace locations. The charging stations support both two-wheelers and four-wheelers, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of electric vehicles used by staff members.
Rebolt executed the project as a comprehensive end-to-end solution, including the supply, installation, and commissioning of the charging infrastructure. The company will also oversee ongoing services such as maintenance, operational management, and technical support for the stations.
The newly installed charging points are powered by Rebolt’s proprietary Internet-of-Things (IoT) enabled smart charging devices. These chargers are integrated with the company’s mobile application, allowing users to locate nearby charging stations, track charging sessions in real time, and complete payments digitally.
According to Rebolt, the deployment aligns with its strategy to expand reliable charging infrastructure in locations where people live and work. By installing smart chargers within residential and office communities, the company aims to make EV charging more accessible and convenient for everyday users.
Sunil Prabhakar, Co-Founder of Rebolt, said proactive participation from government institutions is crucial for accelerating India’s transition to electric mobility. He noted that partnerships with leading organisations such as the Reserve Bank of India help strengthen the country’s sustainable transportation ecosystem.
The collaboration also reflects a growing trend among public institutions and corporations across India to adopt EV-ready infrastructure. By integrating intelligent charging points in shared spaces, the initiative contributes to building a broader electric mobility framework aligned with India’s clean transportation goals.
Rebolt’s partnership with the RBI marks another milestone in the company’s network expansion. The EV charging provider currently operates more than 700 chargers across over 230 locations, including installations in more than 140 premium apartment complexes and over 80 hotels and resorts across South India.
