Juniper Green Energy Limited has commissioned 101 MW of wind power capacity across Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan during the first half of September, marking another step in the company’s renewable energy expansion.
The commissioning has taken Juniper Green Energy’s operational portfolio to 2,689 MWp of solar and wind capacity, alongside 503 MWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity.
Here are five key things to know about the latest commissioning milestone.
1. Juniper commissions 101 MW of wind capacity across three states
The newly commissioned wind capacity is spread across Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan and forms part of the company’s Wind-Solar Hybrid and Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) projects.
The commissioning was completed during the first fortnight of September 2026, adding to Juniper Green Energy’s operating renewable energy portfolio.
2. Two GUVNL hybrid projects advance in Gujarat
In Gujarat, Juniper commissioned 45 MW under GUVNL Hybrid Phase I and another 40 MW under GUVNL Hybrid Phase II. Both wind components are connected at the Charadva GETCO Substation.
Following the latest additions, 145 MW out of the 150 MW contracted capacity under GUVNL Hybrid Phase I has been commissioned. Under Phase II, 70 MW of the 120 MW project is now operational.
3. MSEDCL project reaches full commissioning ahead of schedule
Juniper has also completed the commissioning of its 75 MW contracted hybrid capacity for Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL).
The final 10 MW wind component at Chapalgaon in Maharashtra completes the project. The hybrid development now has 75 MW of solar and 25 MW of wind capacity commissioned.
According to the company, the MSEDCL capacity has been brought online more than two months ahead of its scheduled commercial operation date (SCOD).
4. Operational renewable portfolio reaches 2,689 MWp
With the latest commissioning, Juniper Green Energy’s operational portfolio has grown to 2,689 MWp of combined solar and wind capacity.
The company also has 503 MWh of operational BESS capacity, highlighting the growing role of energy storage alongside variable renewable generation in its portfolio.
5. Focus shifts to execution of GUVNL and SJVN projects
Juniper said commissioning activity is continuing across its portfolios with GUVNL and SJVN, including projects linked to hybrid and FDRE arrangements.

The latest additions come as India’s renewable energy sector increasingly focuses not only on awarded capacity but also on converting contracted projects into operational assets, particularly hybrid and dispatchable renewable power projects.
