CESL inks pact with IIT Bombay to establish EV Charging Infra

Aiming at exploring technological advancements to strengthen -enabled ecosystem

Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), has signed a Letter of Association (LoA) with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) to implement Charging Infrastructure across the country.

The LoA was signed today by Ms. Mahua Acharya, MD and CEO, and Prof. A.M. Pradeep, Associate Dean of Research & Development, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.

Under this association, both parties will collaborate to work on technological advancements in the electric vehicle charging domain by development of flagship products, standardization of technical specifications, solutions for meeting charging capabilities, and customized solutions for Indian EV charging ecosystem.

Applauding the association Ms. Mahua Acharya, MD and CEO, CESL, said “EVs are going to pave the way towards a green and sustainable future. Developing a viable landscape with strong EV infrastructure is the key to cultivate consumer confidence in electric vehicles and is proud to be progressively spearheading initiatives to promote in India. Our partnership with IIT-B will significantly enhance the technological advancement for the EV charging infrastructure.”

Prof. Swaroop Ganguly, Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, said, “The partnership comes at the cusp of ’s EV revolution. We are grateful to for this association which will streamline ’s efforts in switching to electric vehicles ecosystem. The partnership will foster and stimulate in line with ’s global and domestic commitments to reduce carbon emissions, particularly from the transport sector.”
