JinkoSolar Japan has signed a JPY5.3 billion syndicated loan agreement for up to two years with a bank consortium led by Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (“SMBC”). The financing will be used to expand business in Japan and to supplement JinkoSolar Japan’s working capital.
“I am glad to have the opportunity to work with SMBC again in increasing our credit line,” commented Charlie Cao, JinkoSolar’s Chief Financial Officer. “I believe this loan agreement demonstrates the trust and recognition that first-tier Japanese commercial banks have in our brand and operations in Japan. We look forward to further deepening our relationship with SMBC and other local banks to further expand our business there.”
