Design of Bajaj’s first electric scooter pops up, likely to be part of Urbanite Brand

We all know that Bajaj Auto is gearing up to dive into electric vehicle segment with the launch of its new electric vehicles. Now design sketches of new electric scooter which is said to be launched under the company’s ‘Urbanite’ brand name has popped up online.

The new sub-brand ‘Urbanite’ will be used by the homegrown auto maker as a launch pad for its electric scooters, electric bikes and urban mobility solutions.

Earlier Rajiv Bajaj, Bajaj Auto Managing Director confirmed that the company is not interested in conventional IC engine scooters; he also stated that the company is working on being the Tesla of the Indian market with its two-wheeler products.

The new set of design sketches that popped up online suggests that the company is gearing up to bring electric scooter under the Urbanite sub-brand.

The design sketches also suggest elegant style, curvy body panels and alloy wheels.

The Bajaj electric scooter is also expected to come with single-sided front suspension. As of now there is no information other than what the sketch suggests. However we expect the new scooter to come with a host of features, including a TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity among others.
