REIL inviting bids for setting up 270 EV charging stations

The Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL) has floated tender inviting bids for Supply, Erection & Commissioning of 70 Nos. AC Charging Equipment, 170 Nos. DC Charging Equipment and 30 Nos DC Fast Charger 100 KW with 3 Guns.

The primary objective of the project is to set-up a Charging Infrastructure in the Country and roll out the plan as a part of Make in India Initiative. As a part of Electrical Mobility Mission 2020, Department of Heavy Industry, Govt. of India has formulated a scheme namely FAME- India. The objective of the scheme is to promote electrical mobility through development of technology of electric vehicles & Charging Infrastructure.

Last date for online submission of the bid is March 15, 2019.

70 AC (Smart) Charging Equipment will be installed in Ranchi, Bengaluru, Goa, Shimla, Hyderabad and Agra, while 170 DC Fast Charger confirming to Standard Bharat DC 001 and 30 DC Fast Charger 100 KW with 3 Guns (CCS, CHAdeMO and AC Type 2) will be installed in Delhi-Jaipur-Agra-Delhi Highway, Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai highway, Ranchi, Bengaluru, Goa, Shimla, Hyderabad and Agra

Bidders have to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 10 lakhs along with the bids in the form of DD.

REIL in the tender document notes that Bidder will have to provide comprehensive maintenance services for a period of 5 years from the date of installation. Quarterly Preventive Maintenance of Electric Vehicle Charging Station shall be carried out for satisfactory running of the system. It shall include such checks and maintenance activities at least routine quarterly maintenance visits which are required to be carried out on the components of the Electric Vehicle Charging Station to minimize the breakdown and to ensure smooth and trouble free running of the Systems. Bidder shall be responsible to carry out the routine & preventive maintenance services and shall provide all labour and materials. The service personnel of the successful bidder will make the maintenance, which shall include testing & replacement of any damages parts. A service job report (SJR) for preventive maintenance duly signed by the competent authority of customer shall be submitted on monthly basis latest by 10th of next month.

REIL has also made it mandatory for the bidder to open an authorized service centre equipped with sufficient qualified manpower and required spares in all locations before the supply / installation of system.
