The Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TSREDCO) is inviting bids to develop 50 MW of grid-connected residential rooftop solar projects. Last date for the submission of the bid February 28, 2022.

The West Central Railway zone has set up a Solar Power Plant at Bina. The Solar Plant has been set up at Bina in association with BHEL in June 2020. The Solar Plant at Bina spreads over 10 acres of land and has 5800 solar modules, mounted on 145 sets of modular mounting structure on 1015 pile foundations. Indian Railways network to feed Traction Power (O H E) directly. It feeds Traction Energy to 25kV O H E Lines directly.

LG exits global solar panel business LG Electronics Inc. is exiting the global solar panel business.

The decision, approved Feb. 22 by the LG board of directors in South Korea, follows a comprehensive review of the impact of increasing material and logistics costs, as well as severe supply constraints, on the solar business. Many small and mushrooming companies has already exited the solar business after the impact of corona and facing supply constraints.

US funding USD 500 million for solar panel manufacturing in India.

The Quad leaders US, India, Japan and Australia have renewed their commitment to promote a free, open, rules- based order in the Indo-Pacific region, the White House said on Thursday, while emphasising that the US is funding $500 million to help American companies manufacture solar panels in India.
