The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has announced that it is accepting applications for its sixth round of scholarship awards. This call for applications runs from March 10th to April 2nd, 2023.
The IPCC is encouraging research proposals on a range of topics related to climate change, including living soils, biodiversity, regenerative viticulture, agroforestry, water management, and terrestrial carbon cycle. While these topics are emphasized, applicants are also welcome to submit proposals on other relevant topics.
Each scholarship award provides up to €15,000 per year for a maximum of two years during the period 2023-2025. Interested applicants can register via the application portal at https://apps.ipcc.ch/scholarship/. The deadline for submissions is April 2nd, 2023 at midnight CET.
The IPCC Scholarship Programme was established with funds received from the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize award to the IPCC. The Programme was made possible through the generous contributions of funding partners, including the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the Cuomo Foundation.
This scholarship opportunity provides an excellent opportunity for researchers to contribute to climate change knowledge and policy. The IPCC is a global authority on climate change, and its scholarship programme has been influential in supporting research on climate-related issues.
