IPCC to Present Climate Change 2023 Synthesis Report in Hybrid Press Conference

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is set to hold a hybrid press conference to present the Summary for Policymakers of Climate Change 2023: Synthesis Report, pending approval by the Panel.

The conference will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023, starting at 14.00 CET (13.00 GMT), and it will follow the closure of the 58th Session of the IPCC that began on March 13.

The Synthesis Report is the final installment of the Sixth Assessment Report, which integrates and summarizes the findings of the six reports released by IPCC during the current cycle starting in 2015. This includes three Special Reports and the three IPCC Working Group contributions to the Sixth Assessment Report.

Accredited journalists will receive e-mail alerts about embargo materials once they are available and details on how to submit questions for the speakers at the press conference.

The press conference will be streamed live on the IPCC YouTube channel and UN Web TV.

This event is of great significance as it will provide an overview of the current state of climate change and the actions that need to be taken to combat it. The findings of the report are expected to inform policy decisions and shape the global response to climate change for years to come.
