India to establish Hydrogen Valley Innovation Clusters to reduce production costs and promote clean energy

Department of Science and Technologies invites alliances to form clusters across the country

Hydrogen has the potential to power India’s future growth while contributing significantly to global climate action goals. To achieve this, regular consultation meetings are planned to evaluate opportunities and take advantage of common strengths. The Department of Science and Technologies has invited organizations and industry players to form alliances to establish Hydrogen Valley Innovation clusters across India.

To kick off this initiative, an Expression of Interest will be submitted to the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India for the Preparation of a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for setting up the Hydrogen Valley Innovation Cluster (HVIC) in Gujarat. This move is a significant step towards fulfilling India’s increasing energy demands while achieving decarbonization across sectors, ensuring energy security, and supporting sustainable growth

The Department of Science and Technologies in India has announced plans to establish Hydrogen Valley Innovation clusters across the country, in alignment with the global Clean Hydrogen Mission. The goal is to reduce hydrogen production costs, making it more competitive in all applications. To achieve this, breakthrough technology innovations will be identified, and startups will be incubated in collaboration with industry leaders. iCreate, with its expertise in identifying and incubating technology innovations, will play a key role in evaluating, validating, and scaling up such innovations.
