Indian Solar Player Expands Mission of Promoting Clean and Green Environment to Water Sector

Rays Power Infra, a prominent player in India’s solar industry with a commissioned portfolio of 1.30 GWp, has announced its entry into the water engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) business.

The company has secured the prestigious Har Ghar Jal Yojana project in Uttar Pradesh, valued at Rs. 650 crores.

This significant endeavor aims to provide clean drinking water to over one crore households by March 2024, aligning with Rays Power Infra’s commitment to fostering a cleaner, greener, and better environment.

With a strong focus on research, development, testing, and commissioning, the company is currently initiating the development and execution of solar parks and plants totaling 2.00 GWp in the next 24 months. Additionally, Rays Power Infra is actively engaged in developing large-scale solar parks in its home state of Rajasthan.

Ketan Mehta, Managing Director & CEO of Rays Power Infra, expressed his pride in the company’s entry into the water EPC business, highlighting its alignment with the goal of promoting sustainable growth and development.

He emphasized the synergy between the solar power and water businesses, pledging equal focus and capital allocation to both verticals.

Mehta also expressed confidence in executing the Har Ghar Jal Yojana projects, leveraging the company’s past success in the water EPC sector and financial strength obtained through the sale of assets.
