Goldi Solar’s Initiative Transforms Tribal Village with Free, 24/7 Clean Energy, Aligning with National Goals
Goldi Solar, an Indian solar manufacturer, led the project to fully solarize Chikhalda, a tribal village located in the southern part of Gujarat’s Dang district. The initiative directly benefits every resident, including homes, schools, and public spaces.
The entire village of Chikhalda has been completely solarized. This means the community now has 24×7 access to a stable, reliable, and free electricity supply. The project involved installing high-quality solar modules to power everything from residential homes and schools to water pumps for agricultural use.
The transformation of Chikhalda has been completed, with the village now enjoying full energy independence.
Goldi Solar adopted the village to demonstrate a new benchmark in rural electrification and sustainable development. The initiative aims to align with national goals such as the PM-Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and the PM-KUSUM Yojana, empowering a rural community and promoting clean energy independence. The company’s campaign, “Apni Bijli, Apni Azadi – Chikhalda Ki Kahani,” highlights the sense of dignity and progress that the project has brought to the residents.
Goldi Solar achieved this by deploying its high-quality solar modules, which are manufactured using advanced AI-powered technology. The company covered the entire cost of the project, ensuring the electricity supply is completely free for all residents. This has enabled the community to improve its standard of living through uninterrupted access to power for education, skill-building, and enhanced agricultural operations. The initiative serves as a model for how the private sector can champion purpose-driven progress and contribute to India’s Net Zero goals.
