Alstom’s Sustainability Incubation Program supports innovative startups focused on clean energy, shared mobility, and multi-modal transportation
As part of its Sustainability Incubation Program, Alstom India has granted a total of INR 1.5 crores to 10 startups that have developed innovative solutions in the fields of clean energy, shared mobility, and multi-modal transportation.
The startups, selected from a pool of over 200 applicants by an expert jury that included Alstom’s innovation leaders, will be able to utilize the grant funds to further develop and deploy their sustainable solutions.
The successful startups were chosen for their exceptional work and commitment to sustainability. Among the awardees is MetroRide, an electric mobility platform striving to make public transport more accessible and seamless.
With their electric-only fleet, MetroRide has already provided over 800,000 rides, reducing customers’ travel expenses by over 50% and wait times by over 80%, while saving an impressive 500,000+ KG of CO2 emissions.
Another notable recipient is Evoride Motors Private Limited, which focuses on creating intelligent and environmentally friendly electric two-wheeler mobility solutions. Their cutting-edge swappable battery architecture and micro-manufacturing approach enable them to provide innovative solutions, especially in tier 2 and tier 3 regions, empowering local communities and reducing carbon footprints.
Volar Alta, a drone-based industrial inspection service provider, also received recognition for its exceptional work. By specializing in inspecting critical industrial assets, such as boilers and storage tanks, Volar Alta has achieved remarkable time and cost savings for clients, reaching an impressive 96% reduction in time and 86% reduction in costs while ensuring utmost safety for workers.
The remaining seven startups, Epick Bikes, ChargeEZ, The Energy Company, Green Tiger Mobility Private Limited, TrackNerd GPS Pvt Ltd, Tadpole Projects, and Swytchd, have all made significant contributions to the clean energy and sustainable mobility sectors.
These ventures have developed unique solutions, ranging from electric bicycles and EV park and charge platforms to innovative battery technologies and fleet management telematics.
Alstom India’s Managing Director, Olivier Loison, emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability and its desire to support startups that share their vision. Loison believes that nurturing these startups and fostering innovation is vital in creating a sustainable ecosystem in which Alstom can operate.

The Sustainability Incubation Program aims to accelerate the growth of these startups by providing them with a range of support, including capacity and capability building, exposure to complementary partnerships, and funding opportunities.
By refining their business and technology roadmaps, these ventures will be well-positioned to scale their operations and make a meaningful impact on sustainability challenges.
