The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) has taken a significant step toward sustainable development and innovation by signing two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and a Marketing Agreement at the Advantage Assam 2.0 – Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025. As the official knowledge partner for the Summit, TERI is working closely with key stakeholders to enhance Assam’s investment potential across various sectors. The newly signed agreements reaffirm TERI’s pioneering role in research-driven, patented technologies that support sustainable agriculture and infrastructure development in the region.
Boosting Assam’s Agriculture with TERI-BVFCL Collaboration
One of the key MoUs was signed between TERI and Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Ltd (BVFCL) to introduce TERI’s patented Mycorrhiza, biologicals, and biogenic nanotechnology products into Assam’s agricultural sector. This collaboration is set to:
- Enhance soil health and increase agricultural productivity
- Promote organic farming through eco-friendly solutions
- Support long-term environmental sustainability
Additionally, a Marketing Agreement was formalized between TERI and BVFCL for the immediate sales and marketing of MUKTA MYCO PLUS+, TERI’s patented Mycorrhiza product. This bio-based solution is expected to revolutionize organic farming by improving soil fertility and reducing chemical dependency.

- Facilitate easy access to eco-friendly products for farmers and agribusinesses
- Position Assam as a hub for green technology-driven manufacturing
The MoU was signed by Dr. Dipankar Saharia, Senior Director, TERI, and Mr. Vinay Pal Jain, Managing Director, HRPL, reinforcing TERI’s commitment to advancing Assam’s industrial and economic diversification.
