Envision Energy Secures Order for 350 MW Wind Turbines from Serentica Renewables

Renewable energy solutions provider Envision Energy to supply and commission state-of-the-art wind turbines for Serentica’s decarbonization project in Maharashtra.

Envision Energy, provider of renewable energy solutions, has announced that it has secured a significant order from Serentica Renewables for the supply and commissioning of wind turbines.

Serentica Renewables, a decarbonization platform focused on accelerating the energy transition for energy-intensive industries, has chosen Envision Energy to provide wind turbine generators for a 350 MW wind park project in Maharashtra.

According to Envision Energy’s press release, the contract involves the delivery of 106 units of their cutting-edge EN156/3.3 wind turbine generators, specifically designed to optimize performance in India’s unique wind conditions.

These turbines have already demonstrated their reliability and efficiency in projects implemented in China and Vietnam.

With a rotor diameter of 156 meters, a hub height of 140 meters, and a rated capacity of 3.3 MW, the turbines are expected to generate substantial power output.

The 350 MW wind park is a crucial component of Serentica’s overall plan to establish a renewable energy capacity of 4,000 MW. This ambitious initiative aims to facilitate the provision of clean energy to large-scale, hard-to-abate industrial customers.

The project is scheduled to be commissioned by December 2024 and is projected to produce 1.25 billion units of clean energy annually while displacing 1.06 million tons of CO2 emissions. This significant contribution aligns with India’s decarbonization goals and further supports its transition to cleaner energy sources.

RPV Prasad, CEO of Envision Wind Power Technologies India, expressed his enthusiasm for partnering with Serentica Renewables on this esteemed project.

He highlighted that the nacelles and hubs for the wind turbines will be assembled in Pune, while the blades will be manufactured in either Trichy or Bengaluru. Additionally, the towers will be sourced from local manufacturers in Maharashtra, thereby providing a boost to the state’s renewable energy industry.

Akshay Hiranandani, CEO of Serentica Renewables, expressed satisfaction with the partnership with Envision Energy for this groundbreaking renewable energy project. Hiranandani emphasized that this project represents a crucial step in expediting industrial decarbonization efforts and serves as a significant investment in the future of the planet and the economy. He expressed confidence in Envision’s ability to support Serentica’s growth ambitions as a valuable partner.

The collaboration between Envision Energy and Serentica Renewables highlights the commitment of both companies to advancing renewable energy adoption and facilitating the transition to a sustainable future.
